Officials try helping woman facing firing squad

May 5, 2009 by Infowars Ireland

Officials and legal campaigners are in Laos to try to help a pregnant British woman, whose family live in Ireland.

Samantha Orabator is accused of drug smuggling and faces death by firing squad if convicted.

Miss Orobator was born in Nigeria and lived in south London from the age of eight.

Her father lives in Nigeria and her mother and three sisters live in Ireland.

The 20-year-old has been in jail since August, but British authorities have only just found out about her arrest.

She has been charged with smuggling heroin and her trial is due to start tomorrow.
