Recent West of Ireland poll indicates almost 70% to say No to Lisbon II

A recent poll carried out over a three day period (13th-15th August) by volunteers from the No to Lisbon campaign indicates that almost 70% of eligible voters are opposed to passing the Lisbon Treaty.

The poll, carried out in Galway city, Gort and Ennis (Co. Clare) surveyed a total of 2,000 people on the main shopping streets of these towns.

Out of 2,000 people surveyed, only slightly more than 22% indicated their intention to vote yes on 2nd October, with 8% undecided or gave no response.

A huge majority of those surveyed said they will Vote No to Lisbon II – almost 70% – This is greatly at odd’s with the results of other poll’s carried out in Ireland and reported in Irish main stream media.
