Do you believe in Santa Klaus?

The TaxPayers’ Alliance is running a petition to President Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic, asking him to stand firm in the face of pressure to sign the Lisbon Treaty.  The Czech courts have adjourned a hearing on the issue for another week, so poor Klaus can expect yet another few days of heavy lobbying and bullying from EU apparatchiks.  Will he hold out?

Whatever insults Labour throw at the Tories, something we’ve not done is promise a referendum and then denied it to the people simply because we expected to be defeated.  Labour, on the other hand, did just that – by denying the British people a vote on the EU Constitution, after minuscule amendments and a reincarnation as the Lisbon Treaty.
