Report from Russia Today about pandemic in Ukraine. Nine regions of Ukraine have been placed under quarantine, including Kiev, although RT reports that the pandemic has not reached the capital yet, there is much suspicion amongst Ukranians that this may be a concocted panic with a political agenda, namely to defer the upcoming elections in Ukraine. Presidential elections are due on January 17th 2010 and it is possible they will be cancelled as a result.
