Many years ago when I worked in meteorology in the UK, the great fear was an impending ice age, to be caused by the cold Labrador current diverting the Gulf Stream due South and turning the climate of the the UK into that of Alaska. It is time these manipulators of figures and their computer modelling were exposed for what they are - money-grubbing pseudo-scientists looking for public funding and unscrupulous politicians looking to raise more taxes.
