Euro-Mediterranean Process Is Alive And Unstoppable

Summary: After Pamela Geller had an article on The Euromediterranean Process in the Washington Times on 30 Dec. 2009, some blog articles popped up on the subject – but it has also been alleged that the process, say the Union for the Mediterranean, which was proclaimed with its own parliament, secretariat and other institutions by  all heads of state and government of the EU and Mediterranean countries with the exception of Libya´s Gaddhafi in Paris on 13th July 2008, has died.
Unfortunately it has not. Due to the financial crisis it is stalled – and the Middle East conflict is also an obstacle, as well as clearly a degree of frustration among the Arabs that they have not managed to impose their “perfect” standards on us. This last point the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Fini, suggests to cope with by adjusting our standards to those of the Muslims! Former EU Commissioner, Mr Frattini, now Italian Foreign Minister, says that the Mediterranean Union’s future borders would be the Persian Gulf, and his ministry’s Secretary General said that Iraq will be included. The EU is creating an energy group with Euromediterranean-Gulf countries, in particular on large solar plants. The EU Economic and Social Council is active in promoting the Union through civil society. Mediterranean cities and regions have formed separate groups to get the Union on the move – 43 trade ministers met on 9 December 2009 to get the agreed Euro-Mediterranean free trade zone on track and running in 2010 as planned in The Euromediterranean Declaration of 1995 and reaffirmed in 2008 in Paris – and to develop the union additionally socially and culturally. Algeria, Libya and Syria have not taken up the offer. The EU is exceedingly happy to have given Morocco advanced status a year ago with visa facilitations, more of our money and enhanced political cooperation. The Euromediterranean Transport Project is also very active – with i.a. a Common Euromediterranean Aviation Area to bring more people from south to north – and tourists in the opposite direction. All evil forces are now being activated to promote the union, which, as WTO chief Lamy said,  is just a step towards tomorrows oganisation of the world – or like Obama’s advisor and mentor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, says: This regionalization is the way to the world state / government. The EU has a large euromediterranean action program under way – and the Arabs are hungrily waiting for our money  and industry, while NATO is trying to conquer Central Asia, so that it can all be linked to the Far Eastern Union which is in the pipeline after EU model. Therefore, the EU Parliament since 1994 has been very active in its efforts to create a UN World Parliament. All of course under the total tacity of “our” politicians and MSM. For this is the greatest treason in history.

In connection with Pamela Geller´s article in the Washington Times as of 30 Dec. 2009 on the Euromediterranean and the importance of the year of 2010 as for the implementation of the common Euromediterranean free trade area  as outlined in the Euromediterramean Barcelona Declaration, I was confronted with a political postulation that the Euromediterranean process was dead. No it isn´t. The following will clearly show that this Leviathan is still very much alive.

EUbusiness 5 Jan. 2009: The nascent Mediterranean Union is “very close” to naming its first secretary general, who will be from an Arab country, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said Tuesday. France announced last month that the foreign ministers of Egypt, France, Jordan, Spain and Tunisia would meet in early January in Cairo to try to revive the grouping.

Here is a short survey of the development of the Euromediterranean Process – and here is a survey of the Euromed Declarations.

The Euromediterranean process is in an impasse due to 1. An unwillingness on the part of some Arab countries to fulfill their obligations according to the Euromediterranean Barcelona Declaration of 1995 – reaffirmed at the Paris Conference on 13 July 2008, where the Union for the Mediterranean was proclaimed. 2. A lack of EU money due to the current economic crisis 3. The Muslims feel that they have not been able to impose their norms upon the Europeans who are consequently considered haughty by the Muslim master race. So, this must be changed: The President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Gianfranco Fini, outlined to the congress his guidelines for new Euro-Mediterraean policies, stressing how vital it is that Europe grow out of its attitude of superiority. ”If Europe,” he said, ”continues in its attitude of supremacy over the Muslim religion,….I think the time has come to reaffirm Sarkozy’s insight, focussing on coordinating European norms with those of the countries of the southern shores of the Mediterranean”!!!
