The White Stripes say US Air Force Reserve made unauthorised use of song on advert during Super Bowl

The White Stripes have said the US Air Force Reserve made unauthorised use of their song Fell In Love With A Girl during an advert that ran during Sunday’s American football Super Bowl.
The White Stripes and their label, Third Man Records, said on the band’s website that the song was re-recorded and used without permission.
The rock band, originally from Detroit, said they took “strong insult” to the advert and added it implied the White Stripes “encourage recruitment during a war that we do not support”. Read more…
